The Sanctuary at Westview

We are saddened to share that The Sanctuary is permanently closed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The Sanctuary at Westview is a Black liberation lab and home of The Black Mecca Project. It is a shared studio space where Black women and gender-expansive people heal, imagine, conjure, and rest. The Sanctuary is a space for Black freedom-dreaming, sacred communal healing, political education, co-working, hosting or attending workshops and events. It is located within the Westview Art Studios building in the historic Westview neighborhood in Southwest Atlanta, on Muscogee and Creek traditional, ancestral, unceded, occupied territories.
